Studies on Dermatophytosis of Korean Cattle

Abstract
|

|
This experiment was undertaken to determine the causative agent of dermatophytosis occurred in Korean native cattle. A total of 54 cases were examined, of which 52 were derived from a herd and the others from market.
Direct microscopic examination, culture and pathogenicity test were performed for the samples (hairs and scales) obtained from the skin lesions of the affected cattle.
The causative agent was identified as Trichophyton verrucosum exclusively in these cases.
